Brass test on the iSwarf 50 press
Brass scrap is one of the materials that can cause a lot of trouble in operation – it is heavy and very bulky. It is a valuable but demanding material that is difficult to store and transport. That is why we decided to test how our iSwarf 50 briquetting press can handle it. The smallest model in our range, but even in its compact design, it manages to process metal scrap very efficiently.
Material – chopped brass wire.
And the result?
It surprised not only us, but especially customers who work with similar material daily.
- excellent material flowability → ideal for screw dosing
- problem-free pressing process → constant pressure and smooth output
- compact, solid briquette
- volume reduction 11.2×
Why choose iSwarf 50?
iSwarf 50 is designed for operations where a large amount of metal chips is generated, typically with one or two larger machining centers. It helps solve not only the lack of storage space, but also the problems with mess around machines caused by scattered greasy chips.
In practice, this press offers several fundamental advantages:
- reduction of chip volume by up to 15x
- significant reduction in the need for storage capacities
- reuse of the extruded emulsion after pressing → saving coolant
- cleaner and safer environment in the workshop
- easy handling of briquettes due to their strength and high density
- higher purchase price compared to bulk material
The press can be connected directly under the conveyor of the machining center, or it can work independently with manual filling. For long chips or lumps, it can be supplemented with a compact crusher.
We test real samples.
Every material behaves differently. That’s why we test directly on customer samples. The results correspond exactly to their operation. And we can design the exact solution for a specific operation.
If you want to test your material or are considering renting a machine for operation, please contact us. We will be happy to show you everything in practice.
