Efficient pressing of polystyrene

Polystyrene is commonly used in industry and everyday life – from packaging materials to building insulation and as a basic material for some production processes. However, during its processing, a significant amount of dust particles are created, which pollute the working environment, but also complicate handling, storage and logistics.

For example, a container full of Styrofoam dust actually means mostly air transport. This problem is effectively solved by the BrikStar briquetting press, which will enable:

Improvement of the working environment – polystyrene dust is extracted and immediately pressed, which significantly reduces dust in production.

Reduction of waste volume up to 42 times – loose dust with a density of approximately 20 kg/m³ is pressed into compact briquettes with a density of 850 kg/m³. In other words, the volume of waste will be reduced so much that instead of a full delivery of waste, the capacity of the trunk of a passenger car is sufficient.

Optimization of logistics – instead of dozens of big bags full of light dust, solid briquettes are transported, which are better stored and transported more efficiently.

In some cases, the briquettes can be further processed. They can serve as a secondary raw material after crushing, thus promoting recycling and sustainable waste management.

We specialize in the production of briquetting presses for the processing of metal, wood and other types of waste, including polystyrene. Our briquetting technologies bring companies not only ecological but also economic advantages.
